I started learning photography while studying filmmaking at the University of Central Arkansas. As much as I liked running a movie camera and editing video, I found myself gravitating more toward still photography. Once I got my first DSLR, my love for creating photos took off. Over the course of 10 years, I devoted myself to learning everything I could about creating great, artistic photos. It was only when I felt my skills as a photographer were up to my high standards, did I finally make the jump into professional photography. In those 10 years, I have won numerous awards in both peer and juried competitions. I have recently joined the Arkansas Professional Photographers Association, and am working on becoming a Certified Professional Photographer through the PPA.
